 Naomi and Quinn Naomi (Mickayl) Gauruder has been a familiar face on the show scene for many years. She successfully campaigned her hunter “What A Guy” to numerous Championships both as a Junior and Adult Amateur Rider. Currently Naomi is working with her five year old mare, "Under The Influence" she and Tazu plan to ease their way into showing this season. Naomi has qualified sucessfully for the past three years for the FW-PHA, CHJA & NEHC Medal finals on catch rides as she secretaries shows. In the FW-PHA Adult Finals, Naomi placed 4th in 2006, 8th in 2007 & 3rd in 2008 all on catch rides at the finals.
Naomi has been a show secretary since 1994 and formed BHC Management in 2004. Currently, BHC Management helps coordinate over 150 shows on the East Coast. Shows range from low-key schooling shows, One-day USEF “C” and “B” shows and on up to “A” and “AA” rated USEF shows. In 2007, USEF has named Naomi as the top Hunter/Jumper show secretary in the country.
Naomi holds a “r” judges license in Hunters, Equitation and Jumpers, and is also a "r" steward as well.
Naomi is also actively involved politically within the horse world. She serves as a Director for the National PHA, and sits on their publicity committee. In the Fairfield-Westchester PHA Chapter, Naomi holds the positions of Treasurer, Horse Show Chairman and High Score Awards Program Chairman. In addition, Naomi is a member of the USEF Show Management Committee, USHJA Show Management Committee, and sits on the USHJA B/C/Local Horse Show Task Force, the Affiliate's committee, the USHJA Show Committee Task Force. She is also the Treasurer of USHJA Zone 1.
Currently, Naomi is an Auxiliary Police Officer for the Town of Redding, CT. She has served Redding for over 13 years in positions of Auxilary Police Officer, EMT and Emergency Dispatcher.
Naomi graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. She has held previous positions as a Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Intervention Counselor in Bridgeport CT, and as a Claims Investigator for Progressive Auto Insurance.

Amanda Ek has been a part of the BHC Management team for over four years. Currently a Senior at the University of New Hampshire, Amanda is on the IHSA riding team. Amanda hasbeen actively involved with the horse business as both a ridergroom and currently with BHC. Chris has been assisting Naomi at horse shows before BHC Management was even official! She currently works full time for New England Equine Practice as head of accounts receivable, and handles anesthesia during surgeries. Chris holds her "r" license in hunters and equitation, and has been judging regionally for many years. Having been involved in the horse business for most of her life, Chris is a familiar face at the shows! Chris currently resides in NY with her husband and two children. |
