Mallory Diedrich

Mallory has been involved with horses since the age of six, showing for points in under 14 equitation, children's hunters, adult equitation and A-O hunters over the years. She has shown in the NEHC and CHJA medal finals several times and has the rare distinction of having almost won the CHJA Adult Medal finals twice.

She is previously of her family barn, Greystone Farm in Killingworth, under the tutelage of Christina Delia, showing her favorite horses, Moonshadow and Newport, and currently owns O’Rion who resides at Cedar Brook Farm in Madison.

Mallory has been working as a secretary for BHC Management and, with Naomi's help, is working towards a steward's license in both the NEHC and USEF. She has aspirations to license as a judge as well.

Outside of the horse world, Mallory holds a BA in creative arts and has worked semi-professionally in theater in and around New Haven for 15 years, the highlight of which was being an assistant stage manager for the production of Durango at Long Wharf Theatre in 2006. She also holds a Masters in English, tutoring part-time at the University of New Haven, and freelances as a graphic designer (anyone need a proofreader?).

Mallory took time off from riding to bring a little boy, Jace, into the world this past Fall, and hopes to get back to some riding in 2011.
