Naomi Gauruder
Naomi (Mickayl) Gauruder has been a familiar face on the show scene for many years, as she successfully campaigns on the East Coast Hunter Circuit.
Naomi has been a show secretary since 1994 and formed BHC Management in 2004. Currently, BHC Management coordinates approximately 150 shows on the East Coast. Shows range from low-key schooling shows, One-day USEF “C” and “B” shows and on up to “A” and “AA” rated USEF shows.
In 2007, USEF named Naomi as the top Hunter/Jumper show secretary in the country.
Naomi holds her USEF “r” judges license in Hunters, Equitation, her "R" in Jumpers, and is also a "r" steward as well.
Naomi is also actively involved politically within the horse world. She serves as a Director for the National PHA, and sits on their publicity committee & National PHA Medal committee. In the Fairfield-Westchester PHA Chapter, Naomi holds the positions of Treasurer, Horse Show Chairman and High Score Awards Program Chairman. In addition, Naomi is a member of the USEF Show Management Committee, USHJA Show Management Committee, USHJA B/C/Local Horse Show Task Force, the USHJA Affiliate's Committee, the USHJA Show Regulations Committee Task Force, and serves as Treasurer of USHJA Zone 1 Hunter Committee.
In addition to the horse world, Naomi has served the community in various Emergency Responder roles. Currently she is an Auxiliary Police Officer for the Town of Redding, CT. She has served the Redding Community since 1996 in positions of Auxilary Police Officer, EMT and Emergency Dispatcher.
Naomi graduated First in her class from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. She has held previous positions as a Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Intervention Counselor in Bridgeport CT, and as a Claims Investigator for Progressive Auto Insurance.
Chris Dwyer
Chris has been assisting Naomi at horse shows before BHC Management was even official! She currently works full time for New England Equine Practice as head of accounts receivable, and handles anesthesia during surgeries. Chris holds her "r" license in hunters and equitation, and has been judging regionally for many years. Having been involved in the horse business for most of her life, Chris is a familiar face at the shows! Chris currently resides in NY with her husband and two children.
Mallory Diedrich
Mallory has been involved with horses since the age of six, showing for points in under 14 equitation, children's hunters, adult equitation and A-O hunters over the years. She has shown in the NEHC and CHJA medal finals several times and has the rare distinction of having almost won the CHJA Adult Medal finals twice.
She is previously of her family barn, Greystone Farm in Killingworth, under the tutelage of Christina Delia, showing her favorite horses, Moonshadow and Newport, and currently owns O’Rion who resides at Cedar Brook Farm in Madison.
Mallory has been working as a secretary for BHC Management and, with Naomi's help, is working towards a steward's license in both the NEHC and USEF. She has aspirations to license as a judge as well.
Outside of the horse world, Mallory holds a BA in creative arts and has worked semi-professionally in theater in and around New Haven for 15 years, the highlight of which was being an assistant stage manager for the production of Durango at Long Wharf Theatre in 2006. She also holds a Masters in English, tutoring part-time at the University of New Haven, and freelances as a graphic designer (anyone need a proofreader?).
Mallory took time off from riding to bring a little boy, Jace, into the world this past Fall, and hopes to get back to some riding in 2011.
